AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE KINDERGARTEN INCURSION
On Monday the 16th of June our lucky kindergarten students were visited by some wild critters! Ranger Anthony from Australian Wildlife Displays had a yarn with our students, introducing them to, and allowing them to interact with, some amazing and uniquely Australian animals. These included Diamond the python, Bubblegum the bluetongue lizard, Blossom the ringtail possum and Snappy the baby crocodile along with many more! Students learned about the unique features of these animals, their diet and habitat. We also learned about some risks to these precious creatures and the importance of preserving and creating habitat for them to survive. This incursion supports our ‘Living Things’ unit within our Science and Technology program. Our exceptionally behaved kindies had an amazing afternoon of learning, asking questions and connecting with wildlife. Huge thanks to Ms Tzodouris for helping to facilitate this special immersive learning opportunity.
